Boehringer Ingelheim has a compensation structure which is based on a result-oriented system as part of our Vision. Our "Total compensation policy" comprises pay and benefits.
 
Pay

We offer our employees a competitive salary composed of

In addition to a competitive salary your total compensation encompasses a wide range of benefits that add significant value to your package.

Representative list of benefits

Retirement benefits  The Boehringer Ingelheim retirement benefits programme aims to provide adequate income continuation for retirees, and financial support in case of e.g. permanent disability.
Health coverage  This is provided - depending on your country - for our employees and retirees. It normally includes a scale of various medical, dental and prescription drug benefits.
Insurances   Supplementing retirement benefits, a wide range of insurance benefits, such as life, accidental death and a variety of disability coverage, are offered to our employees. 
Company car  The Boehringer Ingelheim company car programme is an integrated component of our total compensation approach. The local company car guidelines provide information about eligibility and other prerequisites.
Subsidised cafeteria   Many of our locations have an on-site, subsidised cafeteria with a good choice of cuisine.
