Journalists' Awards

Eloquium - COPD Communication Award

Eloquium is an international initiative to recognise journalists who extend public awareness and understanding of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Eloquium Award 2008

In recognition of the important role of the media in changing the face of COPD, Boehringer Ingelheim launchs the sixth Eloquium Award in 2008.

"Eloquium" is open to journalists from any media: print, broadcast or on-line. The award presents a unique opportunity for journalists, whether specialist healthcare or consumer, to demonstrate responsible, informative and effective journalism.

Entries will be accepted on all topics relating to the causes, prevalence, management and impact of COPD.
If, as a healthcare or consumer journalist from any medium, you have covered a COPD story, you could be eligible to enter for Eloquium.

Closing date for all submissions: 21 September 2008.

The Eloquium Award website gives you detailed information on the award criteria and application issues.

On 14 November 2007, World COPD Day 2007, the three winners of the Eloquium Award 2007 were announced. The entries were judged by an independent panel of global COPD experts and leading journalists.
