Donations to Xochimilco’s public schools

UNETE - agreement for donation of computers to Xochimilco's public school Boehringer Ingelheim Promeco Mexico is participating in a project aimed at equipping the computer classrooms in public schools of Xochimilco. More than 6,300 children benefit of this agreement with the Foundation UNETE.

Launch of the "Ayúdance" programme	Employees of Boehringer Ingelheim Mexico informs the company about charity or social activities during their free time and the company supports the activities with drugs or money. In 2006 Boehringer Ingelheim Mexico supported 21 activities.
Donation	Boehringer Ingelheim Mexico built ecological stoves for a poor community located at San Luis Potosi in order to prevent COPD amongst the inhabitants who constantly inhale the damaging smoke. Distinction as a Social Responsible Company (SRC)	For four years in a row, Boehringer Ingelheim Mexico received the award as a SRC by the Mexican Centre for Philanthropy specially for its outstanding ethics, environmental protection, quality of life within the company and support to community.

Recertification as Clean Industry by Mexican EPA		For the 2nd time, Mexican EPA granted Boehringer Ingelheim in Mexico the certification as clean industry. Only 2 % of Mexican companies have this certification and only 11 have been recertified.
