Employee Volunteering   Over 300 employees from our UK operation spent a full day off-site in 2007, rejuvenating local parks and derelict spaces, repainting children's playgrounds, helping out at an animal shelter and constructing new garden buildings for a charity that helps people with learning disabilities.

Charity of the Year - 2007   Charity Year 2007Boehringer Ingelheim employees have chosen Daisy's Dream as Charity of the Year 2007. Fundraising events have been organised to provide a counselling service to families suffering from bereavement.   Daisy's Dream

Recycling water   Up to 50,000 litres of water per day which is relatively uncontaminated is collected and available to Local Authorities   Bracknell Forest Borough Council
Environmental Art Competition in 2006   A competition run by Boehringer Ingelheim UK for pupils to foster environmental awareness.   Five schools in the country of Berkshire
Severnside Recycling Award   BIUK won an environmental award from Severnside Recycling for our environmental champion’s commitment to recycling. We recycle over 90% of all materials used. All office paper is recycled.   Severnside Recycling Company
Environmental open day   A one day event that looked at recycling, energy conservation and protecting the environment both in industry and at home. The day was supported by the local authorities environmental liaison department. The day consisted of eight stands, a number of competitions and questionnaires.
