Employees compassionately help local communities with country-wide food drive

Our Boehringer Ingelheim team – which spans across the United States and around the world – comes together throughout the year to give back to others. With this power of unity, colleagues can help multiple communities in need of essential items to lead healthier lives.

In November 2023, employees at our sites in California, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Missouri and New Jersey collected items to be donated to their local food banks. At each site, bins were set up so that colleagues could donate canned fruits and vegetables, rice, cereal, pudding, pasta, and other food items. This is an activity that we especially like to do during the holidays.

“Boehringer’s passion for giving back fuels my own drive,” said Jenny Wojteczko, director of Human Pharma Strategy and Operations. “I’m encouraged and empowered to contribute to the community where I live and work. This is also a value that I hope to pass on to my sons so that they can make the same contributions that will lead to a better tomorrow.”

Food drives and other volunteer events, like toy drives for local children’s hospitals, are put together by our employee business resource groups. This one was hosted by our National Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Business Resource Group. Our Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation (Boehringer Cares) also supports donations and volunteer activities so that we can be there for those around us.
